When Should a Parent Request an IEP Meeting?
Parents can request an IEP meeting as often as needed throughout the school year.
How Often Does the IEP Team Meet?
The IEP team must review the child's plan at least once a year to assess progress, update goals, and make necessary revisions. This review considers achievements, challenges, reevaluation results, and parental input.
Requesting an IEP Review in Arizona:
- A parent or public education agency can request an IEP review by submitting a WRITTEN REQUEST with reasons for the review.
- The school must hold the meeting within 45 school days at a mutually agreed-upon date and time.
